We are not really a club, but a bunch of guys who get together to fly our planes and have
fun. Last summer I got back into the hobby after being out for four or five years. I
placed and ad in the local paper and started getting responses from other people whom had
been flying or wanted to start. I also found us a place to fly. I did some research
on the net and found that a lot of clubs flew off of local airport runways.
Jerseyville being a small farm town, doesn't use the airport all that much, I called the
owner and he agreed to allow us to fly on the airports second strip 3 1/2 miles south of
town on 267.
Jerseyville is located about 60 minutes north east of St. Louis, MO.
There is a group of about twenty guys that fly now, some more than others. We fly a variety of planes. Some of us even fly helicopters. Most of us are novices. We do have one gentleman who is our unoffical trainer. I plan to start teaching others to fly this summer also.
We fly every Sunday afternoon, weather permitting of course and any other time that becomes available.
We encourage anyone to come out, whether your a beginner or an expert.
